Thermite is a combination of aluminum and Iron oxide that heats up to very high temperatures when burned. What do you thing the girders were made of,... Iron. What do you think the plane was made of,....aluminum. It is conceivable that it actually might have combined on a limited scale to produce enough for his test. To ume that implies that the military used thermite to bring down the towers is beyond unreasonable.
