I can not load my printer drivers into my eMac. I've reloaded, worked with Canon (maker of my new MX700?

printer) and done a 'disk repair' from the OS 10.4.11 software, and bingo. Nothing. The problem, I believe, is in my eMac. What can be going wrong? I also went to the Canon web page and downloaded drivers there. Rebotted. Nada. I had on old HP DeskJet 2000, which died on me, but up until late. No trouble. Then, it died, so I dumped it. No problem with drivers then. What should/can I do?
