Yesterday I made peanut brittle. Maybe I didn't cook it long enough. When I put a drop in cold water it got hard as a rock, then I added the baking soda and soft er and immediately poured it on the cookie sheet. It looks like peanut brittle and it cracked apart like peanut brittle, but when you try to chew it - it is so sticky and gummy that it practically pulls your teeth! Can I correct this by cooking it more in the microwave? I don't want to throw it away.
