Am I defrosting my diced chicken safely?

just took out morrisons diced chicken from the freezer about 2 hours ago some diced chicken s raw in the packet. put them in the fridge and just took them out and submerged them in the sink still in the packet to defrost quicker? is that right to do? how long should i keep it in the sink for? they will be quick fried in thefrying pan after. plsss help!! if you know.
