My iguana has a problem with her mouth?

there is something yellowish (looks like sheddng) sticking out 1 side of her mouth, which raises her upper lip, i don't want to pull it out just incase i do damage to her, i know its not mouth rot because her mouth looks fine n there is no increase in salivation,
