How do I stop the rumours about me and my ex boyfriend in our high school?

Six nights ago, my boyfriend dropped me off on a country road and I had to walk back to my home five miles. He told me to get out of the car because I wouldn't go all the way with him and I had told him off. I didn't have a proper jacket and it was freezing. I left my cell phone in his car. I walked to the nearest farm and called my dad to get me. Then my dad took me right home and went back out and paid my boyfriend and his parents a visit across town. Apparently, there was a shouting match at the door, which neighbours heard. Now there is big trouble going on and my ex is telling bad things about me at our high school. I have taken the high road as my mom calls it and not retaliated. People in my school don't know what really happened, but I'm hoping they can guess. How do I get the rumours stopped?
